The goal of getting alone with Jesus and reading His words is not so that you will have an earth shaking spiritual experience. The goal of spending time with Jesus is to spend time with Him.
This post impacted my heart, and I encourage you to take moment to read it. I’d appreciate you not commenting on this post in any negative way. The point is not to discuss a particular sin, but reflecting on the condemnation in our own hearts. Please refrain from commenting if it regards anyone’s heart but your own. Thank you.
Thanks for posting this! Beautifully written. That’s the truth.
Live, love, be!
This picture reminds me of when I first found out that there were people in this world who were afraid to walk down the street holding hands with the person they love. There was a love out there in the world that was considered to be something other than real love, and that seemed absurd to me.
I also remember when I realized that I was one of those people. But I refuse to be afraid. Love is sacrifice. Jesus Christ has taught me that. God wrote different stories for all of us in life, and diversity is beautiful. The world is hateful and puts labels on us all, but my identity is found in Christ. With him, there is no reason to fear the world. I know that love will overcome.
Happy National Coming Out Day, my friends. Although I have always believed that it is completely ridiculous for anyone to have to announce their sexuality, I congratulate those in the LGBT community who have found the strength to do so. All of you, whether you are “out” or not, deserve to know how deeply you are loved and how much value you hold. God created you beautifully, and you are NOT a mistake. I know it can be hard, but people’s opinions of you will never change God’s opinion of you. Remember that.
